Caravan Letting Terms & Conditions

The following conditions form part of the letting contract. They cover situations that may never arise but you are asked to read & understand them fully prior to booking.

The caravans sited at Thorness Bay Holiday Park owned by Mr & Mrs Samuels are let subject to the following terms :

• Caravan/s refer to the units owned by Mr & Mrs Samuels
• The word owner refers to Mr & Mrs Samuels
• The word guest or guests refers to the person making the booking or others named on the booking form.

• The caravan is let for holiday purposes only. All bookings are arranged for the dates shown on the booking form.
• The caravan will be available from 1530hrs on the first day of your stay and must be vacated by 1000hrs on the day of departure.
• Animals are strictly prohibited.
• For the convenience of other guests smoking is prohibited within the caravan.
• The maximum number of persons permitted to occupy the caravan form part of the booking contract & will be nominated by you when making your booking.
• For all reservations a deposit of £50.00 per week is payable at time of booking. The balance to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival date.
• Booking made less than 6 weeks prior to arrival are payable in full at time of reservation.
• A tentative booking, held for 5 days, can only be confirmed on receipt of the full deposit payable. Please choose your dates carefully as deposits may not be transferable. Guests will not be allowed access to the caravan where payment has not been received in full. The owner will not be responsible for alternative accommodation or any other costs if guests arrive without payment having been made.
• Cancellations made less than 6 weeks prior to arrival are refundable only if/when the caravan is re-let. If the owner fails to achieve a replacement booking the deposit is forfeit. No refund of any unused portion of a confirmed holiday booking will be made. All cancellations must be in writing and are subject to a fee of 15%.
• No responsibility is taken for guest’s personal property left on the premises. The owner shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, cost, claim or expense whether direct or consequential which arises from the guests occupation of the caravan unless resulting from the owners’ negligence.
• No responsibility is taken for guests vehicles on the Park.
• Guests are asked to ensure that children be properly supervised at all times and that they respect the privacy of adjacent caravans.
• Any damages or breakages to the caravan, its fixtures & fittings must be notified to the owner or Park Reception immediately. The owner shall be entitled to charge for the costs of replacement or repair at their discretion.
• Guests are responsible for the safekeeping of the caravan keys. In case of loss a charge of £25 will be levied.
• You are kindly requested to leave the caravan and immediate surroundings neat & tidy and take due care whilst in occupation. Any spillages should be wiped. Dishes and utensils washed, dried and put away. Rubbish should be wrapped and put in the receptacles provided on site.
• The caravan must be vacated and secured with windows closed and doors locked. Keys should be returned to the owner or Park Reception at the end of the booking period.
• Any printed, written or verbal description of the caravans by the owner is made in good faith, however no responsibility is accepted for changes and any information contained in this brochure may be subject to alteration without notice.
• This contract will come into effect upon acknowledgement of the guest’s booking form and deposit and will be governed solely by these conditions.
